EDUCATION
The 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis is dedicated to empowering youth through education and awareness. Our programs are designed to enrich academic knowledge, build confidence, and expose students to new opportunities that prepare them for lifelong success.

URBAN SCHOLARSHIP & ESSAY CONTEST
This annual scholarship program helps eliminate financial barriers for African American students pursuing college or vocational education. Participants submit an essay on a selected topic, which is judged by a Blue-Ribbon panel of community leaders based on writing quality and content. The contest takes place every Spring, with applications opening in February and closing in March. Scholarship awards are presented to the top essay submissions.
TABLE TALK
Table Talk is a community forum designed to bring people together for important conversations on issues that significantly impact daily life. These events are scheduled in response to timely and relevant topics and feature panels of subject matter experts. The goal is to raise awareness, share knowledge, and help individuals make better informed decisions for themselves and their families.

AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY CHALLENGE (AAHC)
The AAHC runs from January to June and challenges students to showcase their knowledge of African American history. Participants compete in local rounds, and the top three mentees in both the High School Division and Junior Division (Middle & Elementary School) earn the opportunity to travel to the National Conference in June. There, they represent St. Louis in a national competition against other chapters — with all travel expenses covered.
STEM YOUTH PROGRAM
Our year-round STEM program inspires curiosity and engagement in Robotics, Technology, and Mathematics. In the Fall, we run in-person sessions at Hodgen Elementary School every Tuesday and Thursday, offering hands-on learning experiences that help students explore the possibilities of careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.
